Rachel Feltman reports here in the Washington Post and Tom Fox-Brewster of the Guardian has more details here about an experiment a security firm conducted in London. F-Secure was making a point: Six Londoners clicked right through the terms requiring them to give up their firstborn child for “the duration of eternity” for free Wi-Fi.
The fine print contains many drastic, rights-reducing provisions that consumers gloss over and yet courts uphold every day. This one though is surely void against public policy, but many others should also be….
