Tort Law and Mass Deception by Fine Print

About 5 years ago, Katie, my niece, wanted to take Audrey, her then-3-year-old daughter, to a birthday party being held at a children’s recreation facility.  In order for Audrey to attend, Katie was required to sign a fine-print form.  Among other things, the fine print said:

    “The undersigned agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless [this facility], its officers, managers, members, employees, servants, agents and coaches/instructors and their successors and assigns from and against all legal liability, claims, suits, damages, losses, and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, threatened or incurred, and arising from the child’s participation, or from any cause whatsoever.”   Read the whole article attached here.
