Senator Franken Holds Advisory Hearing on Americans’

Dwindling Right to Their Day in Court

On Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at 2:30 p.m., Senator Franken will hold an advisory hearing on the Arbitration Fairness Act of 2013.  This may be one of the most important consumer protection bills in Congress as it would restore the rights of consumers and workers to challenge corporate wrongdoers in court.

For more information about the Act, which declares “that no predispute arbitration agreement shall be valid or enforceable if it requires arbitration of an employment, consumer, antitrust, or civil rights dispute,” see:

For a list of co-sponsors in the Senate (S. 878) and the House (H.R. 1844), and the text of the Act see:

If your Senator or Representative is not on the list of co-sponsors, now would be a good time to call them to urge them to get on board.
